Formed in the beggining of the 90's, Anima
(now Anima Dominum) appeared from the needs
of a group of friends of express musically your way to see the things, to expose
themselves and thei ideas, without care about with mode, tendency or style, mainly being
honest above at all.
So, Zé Lima and Fred
searched for musicians capable of fulfill the project. There were a lot of comings and
goings until with David and Flįvio the band releases
its first CD (Tempus Stetisse) with the help of our friend and supporter Jorge
Alegrio. Due to lack of money, this CD have to be recorded in 16 tacks and 50
hours, including record sessions.
After some time and a lot of shows, a chance of a second
disc appeared via a specialized progressive rock record company. There was a lot of snags
during the recording of this CD (Singularities), and its conclusion was possible only and
exclusively because of the band determination. To finish the project (the band was
disturbed with the premature exit of David) the band invited the bassist Clįudio
Cepeda, with his resolutely and affinity (besides a great talent), he
definitively conquered his place in the band.
The shows came and also new problems. Flįvio
Araśjo have to abondon the band in order to finish his studies in Architecture,
and the band has to search a new member again. Then, from New York, Ricardo Lima
signed with the possibility of entering the band. With a new soul, the band started to
record its 3rd disc. This experience set us in total recluse in a lot of months when it
was possible to recalculate and see the footprints along the way and to define our new way
with two new members.
Partialy inpirated Umberto Eco's The Name of The
Rose, our ideas formed new compositions that were compiled on our 3rd CD called The Book of Comedy.
